An IMG Lead is a senior doctor in a Trust who can help and support International Medical Graduates (IMGs):
- as a focal point of contact for GMC’s Welcome to UK Practice, enhanced IMGs Induction and ongoing support structure.
- training and development needs relating to communication skills and cultural awareness.
- information and direction to further sources of information on career choice and support.
- help with pastoral support for newly recruited IMGs.
- advice and help with challenging professional matters.
