E learning
e-Learning for Healthcare is a programme which works in partnership with NHS and professional bodies to support patient care by providing e-learning. The content is currently being transferred to the NHS Learning hub but can still be accessed here.
Registration and use are FREE for GDC registrants working in practice carrying out NHS work, dental hospitals and dental schools. E-Den can also be purchased for a year’s access by non-NHS staff.
Register on e-LfH at https://www.e-lfh.org.uk
Search “dentistry” or “e-Den” for a programme of modules on different dental topics.
Indemnity providers
Many indemnity providers have a series of e-learning resources for their members available from their websites
GDC
The GDC have a series of learning materials on their website – see Focus on Standards.
SCDEP
The Scottish Clinical Dental Effectiveness Programme provides evidence-based guidance and resources.
Appraisals
A free training on Appraisals is available on e-Learning for Health in the section 03 – Assessment and Progression, as part of a suite of Educator Training Resources:
