Welcome to South West School of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine.
We aim to provide a very high quality of Anaesthetic and ICM training. The school comprises of the two geographical programmes, the North Programme and the South Programme. Residents will be appointed to one or other of the Programmes. Posting will be arranged by the TPD taking into account the training requirements of all the Resident doctors, specific individual training requirements and personal preferences. We are committed to minimising rotations, in keeping with the 10 point plan, while also recognising the value in being trained in more than one department. Resident doctors must expect therefore, that they could be placed at any hospital in the region.
