This site outlines the training and education in Obstetrics and Gynaecology offered by South West. Obstetrics and Gynaecology is one of the broadest of hospital based specialties encompassing aspects of medicine, surgery and childbirth; indeed it is this immense variety that is one of the major attractions to our specialty.
The curriculum, set by the RCOG offers broad-based training in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the five years with opportunity to specialise in different areas in the final two years of training.
The South West School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology has a number of aims which are:
