GP Supervisors

The School of Primary Care supports the supervision of a range of learners including GP Postgraduate Doctors in Training (GP Specialist Trainees), Foundation Doctors in primary care and the wider Multi-disciplinary Team.

Becoming a supervisor is a challenging and rewarding career move. The process of preparing the practice to supervise learners often acts as a stimulus for personal and career development.

Having learners in the team usually brings a great deal of enthusiasm to a practice and often act as a catalyst for the supervisors’ own professional development. It also brings practices service provision, additional income and help with succession planning.
