The Primary Care School Board GPR committee are a group of GP trainee representatives who collaborate directly with the School Board across Peninsula and Severn Deaneries to improve training and support trainees. The committee can help to identify issues that trainees are facing and raise awareness of these issues with the board. We cover a broad area and represent trainees in the following patches:
- Exeter
- North Devon
- Torbay
- Plymouth
- Truro
- Bristol
- Bath
- Swindon
- Gloucestershire
- SomersetÂ
We discuss topics such as teaching, ARCP, portfolios, TOOT and LTFT training, support for IMGs and post CCT employment.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding training we always recommend speaking to your patch administrative team and training programme directors in the first instance as many things can be resolved at a local level. However, if things cannot be resolved at patch level we can help to coordinate improvements to training for trainees across the South West by working directly with the school board.
